When I was five, I decided I wanted to be a
writer who illustrated her own books. In third grade my first short
story was published in the local weekly newspaper. There was no
turning back then!
At sixteen I began my first novel--an English historical about a
highwayman. That one's still in the works. In 1998, my first
novel was published by Berkley-Jove Haunting Hearts. It incorporated
romance with my love of Southern lore--ghosts, a reverence for tradition,
and long, sultry days perfect for falling in love.
I took a few years off to raise my son and follow him to numerous
baseballs fields around the country--including four state championships on
his high school team, where he was catcher. During that time, I also
pursued other projects, all the while keeping my original dream in mind.
Now that said son is away at college, I've returned to my first
love--fiction. I sold my first Superromance®
in January and it's coming out
in September 2007! I'm looking forward to the rush of getting
that one on the shelves while working on future projects.
I love horses, gardening, baseball, eating sushi with my son when he's
home. I live in Louisiana with my husband, son, (and sometimes my
mom, who spends time with us during the year), a psycho cat, and the
sweetest Australian Shepherd on the planet.
